"Elephunk" by The Black Eyed Peas (2003, will.i.am music/A&M/Interscope)

             After a modest success of their first two albums, Black Eyed Peas began work on their third album, and in 2001 they were transferred to Interscope sublabel A&M Records.  They were rebranded as The Black Eyed Peas in 2002, and Stacy Ferguson joined the group as Fergie.  On June 16, 2003, their lead single and first single as a quartet, "Where Is the Love?" was released, followed by, "Elephunk" later that month.  On September 7, 2003, "Shut Up" was released as the second single, and on January 12, 2004, "Hey Mama" was released as the third single.  On June 22, 2004, "Let's Get It Started" was released as the fourth and final single.

"Lost Change" by will.i.am (2001, will.i.am music/Atlantic)

After modest success of Black Eyed Peas' first two albums, will.i.am recorded his debut solo album.  Interscope Records however refused to release it, and instead he licensed the album to Atlantic Records.  With no single promotion, "Lost Change" was released on October 2, 2001.
